About the Event
People Matter Fest started as a call to action for millennial voters over the radio airwaves and social media to be more engaged with the 2016 Presidential Election. This call to action led to conversations about what is truly important to voters - community. Papa Keith started going into the communities and got a better understanding of what was missing and what the residents needed. He, along with the PK4PM team, the Brotherhood, and The Beat’s Street team, “popped-up” at five different neighborhoods in Liberty City with music, food and entertainment for the kids. Through this type of grassroots outreach, it became evident that he needed to do something on a bigger level that would impact the entire community.
